End of week 1 at both my school where I teach and my graduate classes!

This has been a tough but exciting week. I spent the entire week in seminars and setting up my class. The children come in tomorrow for the ” open house” and begin the normal school week on Tuesday. I am looking forward to meeting all the new kids. I teach the two’s so you can imagine the crying…..  This goes on for a month sometimes and when it stops it is heaven!

On my academic front, last week was the first week and I was getting back in the mode. I had taken two graduate classes in Special Ed at the University of Virginia in 2011 and so I was a bit “rusty”. I hope every one has a great week!

  1. Before I left the classroom environment I was teaching two’s and oh my do I remember those first months of the school year. Good luck to you. Have you always been in the two’s room? What is your favorite age to teach?

    • Hi Laura, I have taught two’s through fives. I actually left the five year old classroom last year to work with the twos because I had never worked with that age group before. I think the fours are my favorites.
